Angela Leberte is an Atlanta based apparel and textile designer. She got her start in design at a young age when she designed a Traffic Light Halloween costume when she was 8 years old. Not wanting to wear the same costume as everyone else, Angela used a large cardboard box and a flashlight to create the functional design. Since then, Angela has refined her skills through studying multiple channels of the fashion industry, including merchandising, styling, and design. Angela has an Associates of Arts in Apparel Merchandise Product Development from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising and a Bachelors of Science in Apparel Merchandising, Design, and Production Management from Auburn University.
In 2012, while attending Auburn University, Angela started Gypsy + Magnolia, a line of hand dyed apparel products. This creative outlet allowed Angela to combine both her interests in fashion and fine arts in a unique way. Gypsy + Magnolia has since been featured on various fashion blogs, in magazines such as Dreamville and Disfunkshion Magazine, and has shown at pop-up shops at art shows and music festivals throughout the Southeast.
In addition to apparel design, Angela also enjoys painting, photography, interior decorating, and live music.
